Who controls your data
OPNS NV, Franklin Rooseveltplaats 12, President Building, 2060 Antwerpen, Belgium (VAT BE0438031907), is the controller for personal data processed through this website. Contact OPNS at info@opns.be or +32 2 542 87 87.
What the contact form collects
The only personal data this website collects is what you submit through the contact form.
- Name and email address (required, so OPNS can identify you and reply).
- Company and role (optional, if you choose to add them).
- The topic you select and the message you write.
Why OPNS is allowed to process it
OPNS processes what you submit through the contact form to respond to your enquiry, which is a legitimate interest in operating this website and communicating with the people who reach out to it. Where your message concerns a possible contract, processing may also be necessary to take steps you requested before entering into one.
How visits to this website are measured
Besides the contact form, this website counts visits and measures page performance using the audience and performance measurement built into the platform that hosts it. Neither sets a cookie and neither builds a profile of you. A visit is counted from a hash derived from the incoming request, including your IP address; that hash is discarded after 24 hours and cannot be used to recognise you on a later visit or on any other website. OPNS sees the result only in aggregate:
- the page visited and the site that referred you, if any
- approximate location, no more precise than country, region and city
- browser, operating system and device type
- page-speed readings, such as how quickly the main content appeared
Why no consent is asked for this
Consent is required before a website stores information on your device or reads information already stored there. The measurement described above stores nothing at all, which is why this site shows no cookie banner. Processing the request-derived hash rests on OPNS's legitimate interest in knowing whether this website works and reaches the people it is meant for, weighed against the fact that it identifies nobody. The cookie policy sets out the same ground in full.
Who receives this data
Your message reaches OPNS staff by email. It may also be shared with service providers acting on OPNS's instructions:
- the provider that hosts this website, which keeps standard server request logs.
- a business application in which OPNS records enquiries so they can be followed up.
OPNS will name the specific providers behind these categories on request, using the contact details below.
How long OPNS keeps it
OPNS keeps what you submit through the contact form until your enquiry is closed, and for 12 months after that, so a later follow-up can still be matched to the original conversation. It is deleted at the end of that period. You can ask for it to be deleted sooner, using the rights set out below.
Your rights under the GDPR
Under the GDPR, you can:
- access the personal data OPNS holds about you
- ask for it to be corrected or deleted
- ask OPNS to restrict how it is used
- ask for a copy in a portable format
- object to processing based on legitimate interest
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing relies on consent
International transfers
Some of the processors listed above may store or process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, OPNS relies on the safeguards required under Chapter V of the GDPR.
Supervisory authority
You can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), the supervisory authority for Belgium.
Changes to this policy
OPNS may update this policy as the website or its processing changes. Updates are published on this page, and the date shown at the top of the document moves with them.
